Overview

All-new in 2014, the Swiss Diamond 11″ Square Fry Pan offers additional cooking area without taking up an excessive amount of extra space. At 11×11 inches, this square pan holds 2.5-quarts of liquid, almost 20% more than a typical round fry pan. The bottom has been expertly trimmed to fit a round stove heating element and the cast aluminum ensures that even the corners receive even heat distribution. This pan is oven safe up to 500°F and is dishwasher safe although handwashing is recommended.

Founded in 1974, Swiss Diamond International Sarl is a private company located in the Swiss Alps. Using the demand for more efficient and improved non-stick cookware as inspiration, Swiss Diamond engineered an innovative type of non-stick coating that utilizes real diamond crystals–which is the hardest material known–and they patented the technology. This coating develops a ground-breaking non-stick surface that allows you to cook without any additional oils. The HD line is easy to clean and maintain, and it is guaranteed to last a lifetime. PFOA-free, the Swiss Diamond HD line is best suited for any ceramic, gas, or electric heat source. The line features the patented diamond crystal-infused coating. This technology came to exist because: diamonds are extremely durable, giving the coating more resistance; diamonds function better as a heat conductor since it is four times more conductive than copper and creates a perfectly balanced heat distribution; and diamonds have natural non-stick properties.

Care

• Do not use sharp utensils or abrasive cleaners, as this may damage the coating.
• Use only low to medium-high heat settings. Never use the highest 25% of heat settings on your stove top.
• For example, if your stove has heat settings from 1 to 10, never use a heat setting higher than 7.5.
• Clean your pan thoroughly after each use with warm soapy water.
• No oil is needed with a Swiss Diamond pan! If you choose to use butter or oil for flavor, use on the proper heat setting.
• Oils heated above their smoke point will break down and deposit carbon on the cooking surface.
• Do not store acidic or high-sugar foods in your cookware, as this may damage the coating.
