The block has four slots designated for Chef’s and Santoku knives up to 12″. At the base sits eight slots for your steak knives, and a “half-moon” slot holds either shears, a carving fork, or another knife. Your sharpening steel has a special spot, leaving eight other slots for various knives and specialty blades, including the 6 inch Cleaver. The block sits on four rubber feet to prevent sliding and damage.
