Reminiscent of a Santoku, a vegetable cleaver, and a chef’s knife combined, the Wusthof Classic Chai Dao has a broad blade to serve a multitude of purposes in the kitchen. Specifically, this knife is perfect for chopping, dicing, or thinly slicing vegetables. Another task this blade is great for is crushing, due to its wide blade. The Wusthof Classic series cutlery pieces sport the famous PEtec edge, which uses lasers, computers, and robots to create an ultra sharp, long lasting blade edge. Blades sharpened using PEtec are 20% sharper and last twice as long. All blades are fully forged from a single sheet of high carbon stainless steel and have bolsters with a finger guard and full tang extending through the triple-riveted handle.
